about

“I wrote System Collapse in 2017 during my debut album release tour” explains Sabrina, “We had tracked the instrumental beds and then I found myself on an unintended hiatus until 2022, so once I was back performing again in 2023 we pulled the tracks up and decided it was the right time to get them out!”

The new single speaks about injustices that feel out of our control within society and a hope that in coming together through people power may inspire positive change in raising awareness and educating through a reconnection with each other and the natural world.

“These are uncertain times within society post covid and I was personally rocked by extreme division and events close to home, so I dove back into music as a way to begin to heal, I formed a three piece rock band and spent 2023 playing loads of shows and meeting a lot of other people with similar frustrations who seemed to want to deepen their connection to nature and like minded community” says Sabrina

lyrics

The polar caps are melting
Your children wear the clothes handmade by another kid
They say the sea's are rising
Instead of acting we stand around debating it
I fear the system is collapsing
Those men up top are not the heroes they outta be
That bow and arrow looks attractive
A far more pleasant alternative
Then your gun

And what is next from here
Stand on up and make it clear
What is next from here
Stand on up and make it clear

I feel this body yearning
To dip my toes in water and feel the air surrounding it
I feel an energy returning
I see the looks in eyes on you and you and you
And you and him
I feel there's ways that we can handle the truth
As long as we can handle the truth
Take that fire in your belly
Use it to warm your heart
And shoot cupid to the youth

And what is next from here
Stand on up and make it clear
What is next from here
Stand on up and make it clear

IT'S OK to stand up
IT"S OK to wake up
IIT'S OK to give up
what does not serve you
IT'S OK to stand up
IT"S OK to wake up
IIT'S OK to give up
what does not serve you
